Credit System

What are Credits?

Credits are the universal currency for Girard services. Every action consumes credits based on its computational cost.

Credit Renewal

  • Credits refresh monthly on billing date
  • Unused credits do not roll over
  • Purchased bonus credits don't expire

Checking Credit Balance

View your balance:

  1. Dashboard header shows current balance
  2. Settings > Billing shows detailed breakdown
  3. Usage page shows spending history

Managing Your Subscription

Upgrading Your Plan

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Upgrade Plan
  3. Select desired plan
  4. Complete payment
  5. Features activate immediately

Note: When upgrading mid-cycle:

  • Pro-rated credit adjustment
  • New features available immediately
  • New billing cycle starts

Downgrading Your Plan

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select lower tier
  4. Confirm downgrade
  5. Changes apply at next billing cycle

Note: When downgrading:

  • Current features remain until cycle ends
  • Credit limit adjusts next cycle
  • Team members may lose access (Team → Pro)

Canceling Your Subscription

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Provide feedback (optional)
  4. Confirm cancellation

After Cancellation:

  • Access continues until period ends
  • Data retained for 30 days
  • Can reactivate anytime
  • Drops to Free plan

Payment Methods

Adding Payment Method

  1. Go to Settings > Billing > Payment Methods
  2. Click Add Payment Method
  3. Enter card details
  4. Click Save

Accepted Cards:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover

Setting Default Payment

  1. Go to Payment Methods
  2. Find the card
  3. Click Set as Default

Removing Payment Method

  1. Go to Payment Methods
  2. Find the card
  3. Click Remove

Note: Cannot remove if it's the only method on a paid plan.

Failed Payments

If a payment fails:

  1. You'll receive an email notification
  2. Grace period of 3 days
  3. Update payment method to resolve
  4. Service continues during grace period

Invoices and Receipts

Viewing Invoices

  1. Go to Settings > Billing > Invoices
  2. See all past invoices
  3. Click to view details

Downloading Invoices

  1. Find the invoice
  2. Click Download PDF
  3. Save for your records

Invoice Details

Each invoice includes:

  • Invoice number
  • Billing period
  • Plan details
  • Credit purchases
  • Tax information
  • Payment status

Billing Email

Invoices are sent to:

  • Organization owner's email
  • Additional billing contacts (if configured)

To add billing contacts:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Billing Contacts
  3. Add email addresses

How to Purchase

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Buy Credits
  3. Select package
  4. Complete payment
  5. Credits added immediately

Credit Purchase Terms

  • Purchased credits don't expire
  • Used after monthly allocation
  • Non-refundable
  • Available across organization

Usage Tracking

Usage Dashboard

View detailed usage at Dashboard > Usage:

  • Current period spending
  • Credits remaining
  • Usage by feature
  • Usage by team member
  • Historical trends

Usage Alerts

Set up alerts:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing > Alerts
  2. Set threshold (e.g., 80% used)
  3. Choose notification method
  4. Save settings

Export Usage Data

For accounting:

  1. Go to Usage
  2. Click Export
  3. Select date range
  4. Download CSV

  • Volume discounts

Tax Information

Tax Handling

  • Prices shown exclude tax
  • Tax calculated at checkout
  • Based on billing address
  • VAT/GST where applicable

Tax Exemption

If tax-exempt:

  1. Contact support
  2. Provide exemption certificate
  3. We'll update your account
  4. Future invoices adjusted

VAT for EU Customers

  • Provide VAT ID during signup
  • Reverse charge applied
  • VAT ID shown on invoices

FAQ

Billing Questions

When am I charged? On your billing date each month. First charge at signup.

Can I get a refund? Pro-rated refunds available within 7 days of charge.

What happens if I run out of credits? Features requiring credits become unavailable. Buy more or wait for renewal.

Do unused credits roll over? Monthly credits don't roll over. Purchased credits don't expire.

Plan Questions

Can I switch plans anytime? Yes, upgrades are immediate. Downgrades apply next cycle.

What happens to my data if I cancel? Data retained for 30 days after cancellation.

Is there an annual discount? Contact sales for annual billing options.

Payment Questions

Which currencies are supported? Billing is in USD. Your bank handles conversion.

Are there setup fees? No setup fees for any plan.

Can I pay by invoice? Available for Enterprise annual plans.
